Bernie & The Lost Girl

No one goes into the woods. It just isn’t done. None of the Gods are willing to go there, but Bernie is.

Bernie and his mom live in the furthest most sector and just beyond them lie the woods which are considered to be too dangerous, but Bernie has just learned of a little girl that has been lost and no one has been able to find her, yet.

Bernie believes that she may have gone into the woods accidentally on her way to the school where she was going to see her friend, Sarah.  Bernie tries to convince the adults in the central square and they tell him that it can’t be done because he is too young.  But no one  will go there, so Bernie decides to go himself. He goes home to begin his search but after several hours he has not found Emily, so he returns home. The next morning, on his way to school, he meets up with two of his friends, Suzie and Lenny, and they decide that another search of the area should be done by all three.

Well, in order to find out what happens, you’ll need to get the book.
